Remember the future?

Every time we cross the Atlantic we dig up stuff buried under decades of dust and of political, social and cultural upheaval. Recordings lost in the fog of last century's record business: shelved because they didn't fit the market, they never saw daylight. We go out and find the original artists and bring them into new record projects, so their music finally gets the credit and the money it deserves. Our catalogue runs to over 100 vinyl releases and more than 250 masters, made with a model we came up with ourselves, one that plenty of labels out there have picked up since.

Time Capsule Sound

First we bring back to life the reel-to-reel tapes and acetates we find on the hunt. Then the detective work starts. From a faded pencil scrawl on a tape box, we track down the artists and producers who wrote those words and melodies decades ago. Every song has to be credited to the people who wrote it, and they have to give us the green light before we move on to the next step: the arrangement. Most of the time all we've got is a demo, just a vocal and a melody, and that's not a record until somebody arranges it. We do it today, but on vintage instruments and with song structures true to the era. What comes out the other end is a slab of vinyl for collectors and DJs.
